Skindred

You remember that feeling you had at a concert. You know the one I'm talking about, when you hear (and see) a band absolutely crush it on stage. It's that feeling of "Wow, this is totally new and refreshing".

I haven't had that feeling in a long time. A lot of the music that hits our ears in essence can be boiled down to a few similar characteristics that get us hyped.

Earlier this week a band called Skindred took the stage as an opening band for Disturbed. Wow. That is the only way for me to describe them. They blend reggae, hard rock and punk into this wicked soup of ear-kicking music. Benji Webbe has this confident presence to him on stage that makes you want to head bang 'till you head rolls.

Check out their cover of Electric Avenue here:

I highly recommend checking these guys out if you are up for a new sound to feast your ears on.
